Just a quick note to thank you for your participation in the 2011 Lake Sundance Parade of Garage Sales.

 

Across the country, Royal LePage collected over $410,000 on one day for the Shelter Foundation through Garage Sales across the country.  Our efforts in Lake Sundance raised almost $500, thanks to the generousity of our participants….The funds that we collected have formed part of the direct donation to the Children`s Cottage here in Calgary.

 

Thanks to everyone who braved the winds and chilly temperatures on May 14.  Our signs and balloons were challenged by the gusts of wind that day, and despite righting them several times, they may not have done the jobs they were intended to do.  However, the radio stations and the internet did a great job of getting people out into our community, so the turnouts were impressive.

 

Spirits were high and for the most part, our Sundance residents did clear out their garages and basements quite nicely.  It was a great day to meet your neighbours and have some friendly conversation.

 

We plan to repeat the event again next year.  We would both love to hear from you in the meantime and your comments and suggestions will certainly be appreciated.

    The Lake Sundance Parade of Garage Sales for the past two years have been such a great success that we have been asked to coordinate them again this year.  Sundance residents are encouraged to register in advance, and host your own garage sales. 
We will provide signs, maps and kit bags to start your day off right.
